Patch Whiz Kid of the Week
Dexter High School senior leads Ocean Bowl team to regional championship.
Name: Maggie Grundler, 17
School: Dexter High School
Accomplishment: Captain of the Dexter High School Ocean Bowl team. The team won the Great Lakes Regional Ocean Bowl tournament at the University of Michigan in February. Dexter High School will next face 24 other regional champions April 28 through May 1 at Texas A&M University in Galveston, TX, for the 14th annual National Ocean Sciences Bowl.

Key to awesomeness: In addition to her responsibilities as captain of the Ocean Bowl team, Maggie is also a member of the DHS cross-country team, track and field team, National Honor Society, Women in Science organization and DHS marching band. She plans to attend the University of Michigan, Brown University or Cornell University upon graduating this semester. Katie plans to study marine biology with a minor in English.
