Dexter area churches hold Christmas services to celebrate the birth of Christ.

Merry Christmas, Patch readers! We've compiled a list of Dexter area churches' Christmas worship times. All are welcome to attend any of these services, and to celebrate, reflect and offer praise.

Chelsea Church of the Nazarene

Dec. 24
Christmas Eve candlelight and communion service, 6 p.m.

Dec. 25
Christmas worship, 11 a.m.

Connexions Church

Dec. 24
Connexions will hold its first service at its new location, 7444 Dexter-Ann Arbor Rd. at 5 p.m.

Dexter Church of Christ

Dec. 25
10:30 a.m.: Worship service
There will be no 5 p.m. service this day.

Dexter Gospel Church

Dec. 25: Sunday worship is held at 10:30 a.m., and the evening service is 6 p.m.

Dexter United Methodist Church

Dec. 23
8 p.m.: Christmas worship service

Dec. 24
5 p.m.: Family service
8 and 10 p.m.: Candlelight services

Dec. 25
10 a.m.: Worship service

Faith Lutheran Church

Dec. 24
7:30 p.m.: Christmas Eve worship

Dec. 25
10 a.m.: Christmas Day worship service

St. Andrew's United Church of Christ

Dec. 22
5 p.m.: "Blue Christmas: A Service of the Longest Night," with communion

Dec. 24
7:30 p.m.: Christmas Eve worship, with communion
11 p.m.: Candlelight Christmas Eve service, with communion

Dec. 25
10 a.m.: Christmas worship (only one service today)

St. James Episcopal Church

Dec. 22
7 p.m.: "Blue Christmas" service, for those who find the holidays to be a difficult or sad time.

Dec. 24
8 p.m.: Christmas Eve service of Holy Eucharist, with carols preceding at 7:30 p.m.

St. Joseph Catholic Church

All masses will be celebrated at the country church, 6805 Mast Rd.

Dec. 24
4:30 p.m.: Family mass and children's "Living Christmas Story," with music at 4 p.m.
7:30 p.m.: Mass, with music at 7 p.m.
11 p.m.: Mass, with music at 10:30 p.m.

Dec. 25
10 a.m.: Christmas Day mass

Webster United Church of Christ

Dec. 24
7:30 p.m.: Christmas Eve service

Dec. 25
10 a.m.: Christmas Day service
