St. Andrew's Church Plans 'Blue Christmas' Service on Dec. 22 in Dexter
The church will hold a special Christmas service for families dealing with loss and suffering this year.
The words "Merry Christmas" do not resonate for everyone this time of year.
While others are feeling jolly and of good cheer, many of those around us are in despair, feeling lost and alone.
in Dexter will host a "Blue Christmas" service to help individuals dealing with grief observe the birth of Jesus Christ in a quieter, more contemplative way at 5 p.m. Dec. 22.
Regardless of religious background, the public is invited to join their neighbors for a gathering of scripture, prayers, and music that assures that God is with us in times of darkness.
