Where/when: Dexter District Library, 2-3 p.m. Thursday.

- Dog Days of Summer
Where/when: Hudson Mills Metropark, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
Why go? Take your dog (or dogs) to Hudson Mills Metropark for a great day in the park. Join training clinics, watch herding demonstrations, join contests and even get helpful tips from local veterinarians. Call 734-426-8211 for more information.

- Raspberry Picking
Where/when: Berry Hill Farm, 12385 N. Territorial Rd. in Dexter.
Why go? Pick your own fresh raspberries all weekend. Contact the farm at 734-426-2900 for more information and hours of operation.

- Chelsea Sounds and Sights Festival
Where/when: Downtown Chelsea, 6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.
Why go? Join all the fun at the 36th annual festival. There will be live music, great food, children's activities and art. Come see Dexter Patch Editor Daniel Lai's band, Delirious Love, perform classic rock music in front of the Chelsea District Library from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday.
