Try Cross-Country Skiing at Hudson Mills Metropark
The Dexter park has 7.5 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails and ski rental during the winter months.
Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter has plenty of ways to take advantage of the winter months.
The park's trails are groomed for classic-style skiing, including 7.5 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails on varied terrain.
The Ski Touring Center is open weekends and holidays for ski rentals, features a heated lounge, food service and restrooms. Groups of 10 or more may make arrangements to rent skis during the week. Call 734-426-8211 for more details.
The ski rental rate on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays is $10 for four hours. If rented separately skis are $4, boots $4 and poles $3.
Trail use is free, except for the required vehicle entry permit. Cross-country ski maps and/or brochures are available at most Huron Clinton Metroparks.
For cross-country skiing conditions, which may vary park to park, contact the Huron Clinton Metroparks at 1-800-47-PARKS or contact the park office directly. General ski information, including trail conditions, is also available online.
A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark which is only $25 annually for regular admission, $15 annually for seniors, or $5 daily. General information can be found at the park website or by calling 1-800-47-PARKS.
