The Union Base Ball Club of Dexter is preparing for its 2013 season by hosting an informational meeting at the Dexter District Library on Feb. 2 at 3:30 p.m.
Members will discuss how the Union Base Ball Club fits into the vintage baseball community, as well as what it takes to be a player or a member in a supporting role.
The meeting is open to anyone who has an interest in playing, volunteering, or just has an interest in history.
The Union Base Ball Club of Dexter played its first year of vintage baseball in 2012 and is looking forward to growing and improving in 2013.
The team practices and plays on the front lawn of Gordon Hall, just outside of the village of Dexter. Players are made up of all different skill levels and ages.
There is an additional information meeting on Feb. 3 at 1 p.m.
