Video Story: Dexter Neighborhood Begins Clean Up
With blue skies and temperatures in the 70's, neighbors in Huron Farms gathered to assess the damage from Thursday's tornado.
If you want to volunteer, or donate clothing or food, contact the Washtenaw Chapter of the United Way by calling 211. The Red Cross currently cannot accept any more volunteers or donations of goods, but are continuing to collect monetary donations, officials said. To donate money to the local Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, call 734-971-5300, or visit www.WC-redcross.org.
Jenni Hawes with the Red Cross said monetary donations will allow the organization to get the goods they need quickly to those who have requested assistance, and also help stimulate the local Dexter economy following the disaster.
