Weekend Countdown: Holiday Happenings at the Dexter Library

Reindeer, stories, crafts and tasty treats await library patrons this Saturday.

It's midweek, bringing us to the halfway to the weekend. We know you like to plan ahead, so we happily oblige by offering daily ideas. So far we've told you about the Liberty Brass Ensemble show at St. James and the Dexter Community Orchestra concert.

Today we suggest:

Holiday Fun at the Library

  • Where:
  • When: Starting at 11 a.m. Saturday
  • Pricing: Free
  • Why Go: Dexter District Library is offering plenty of fun activities this Saturday, including story times, crafts and songs for all ages. Just drop in at 11 a.m. There's also a teen holiday party, with snacks and crafts, also starting at 11 a.m. (Registration is advised for the teen event; call 734-426-4477.) And from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. there will be real reindeer from Carousel Acres stationed outside. Don't forget your cameras!
