Weekend Countdown: Shop, Sip and Socialize

Saturday is ladies day in downtown Chelsea, featuring fun, fashion and wine.

You've gotten through Monday, but the weekend is still a ways off. Still, there's no time like the present to look ahead at what awaits.

Yesterday we suggested the Purple Rose's Escanaba in da Moonlight. Today we present you with:

Where: Downtown Chelsea
When: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday
Pricing: Mostly free, unless you shop or take advantage of wine tastings ($3 for three glasses)
Why go: This Saturday downtown Chelsea belongs to the fairer sex, as the sixth annual Wine, Women & Shopping event returns, full of promotions, prize giveaways, special displays and goodies, plus vine times (of course). Shop, sip, socialize, and perhaps get a head start on holiday shopping.
