Community Corner

Center for Michigan - Community Conversation

Come and share your opinions about what's happening in our state - from the economy to education & beyond.  Friends of Dexter Community Schools will host The Center for Michigan.  This promises to be a lively conversation.

Here's the Center For Michigan's complete description:

In November 2014, we will choose our next governor, all 38 state Senators and all 110 members of the state House of Representatives.

The Center for Michigan believes that CITIZEN VOICES should shape the focus of this election and Michigan’s path in 2015 and beyond—and they plan to take the priorities shared in this discussion and amplify them to the candidates.

We want to invite you to join us during one of our Citizen's Agenda for 2014 Community Conversation, at the Creekside Library from 6:30 - 8!

This conversation will be one of more than 150 structured dialogues taking place from September 2013-April 2014. Altogether, the participants will include more than 3,000 Michigan residents from all over the state. Discussion topics will include:

• How you feel about Michigan today
• Education
• Economy & Prosperity
• Quality of Life
• Public Money Priorities
