This

year's concert will delight people all ages.  Chuck Colby, a local

resident, and lead MAN in the famous THREE MEN and a TENOR will perform with

the Dexter Community Band.  Chuck will sing Irving Berlin's White

Christmas, which has become a staple of the holiday

season.  He will switch to "country" and take the audience on a

romantic interlude singing Blue Christmas.  My

Grown-up Christmas List will rekindle many memories and sung in

Chuck's special way, just might bring a tear to the eye.

For

band enthusiasts, Russian Christmas by Alfred Reed, will show

the versatility of the band.  This popular work is often performed as a

standard of symphonic band literature.  Bill Gourley's interpretation of

the music will show case the musical skill of the group.  Other seasonal

pieces will be performed; as well as an audience favorite Sleigh Ride by

Leroy Anderson.

For

the young, and young at heart members of the audience, Santa will make a quick

appearance to check if all have been good this year.  He will have candy

canes for the children in the audience.  The concert will close with the

band and the voices of the audience blending as one in a Christmas

Sing-a-long
.  After the concert, the audience is invited to join the

band for cookies and punch.
