What's Happening to Bees?

Everyone has heard that honey bees are in trouble, and it seems like every week the media points to another new cause. In this presentation, Dr. Meghan Milbrath will discuss the current state of honey bees in the United States, their history, what we know about the causes of the decline, as well as ways you can help the bee population.

Dr. Milbrath owns Sand Hill Apiaries in Stockbridge, Michigan. Dr. Milbrath has worked as an associate researcher at Michigan State University’s Entomology Department, has taught beekeeping classes across the state, is the current president of the Ann Arbor Backyard Beekeepers and is the coordinator of the Northern Bee Network.
