The donations were raised at the sixth annual Dexter Holiday Hustle 5k Race, which draws about 1,500 runners annually, and will be divided among the four nonprofit groups.

Busch's in Dexter was a sponsor of the Dec. 7 race. Goodie baskets to the runners to help increase the amount of money available to the charities.

Runners also brought non-perishable food items that filled a truck and were distributed by Faith in Action.
