Letter to the Editor: Dexter Trustee Endorses Shawn Keough for Village President

The village needs to continually move forward with financial responsibility and an emphasis on public services that are centered on the needs of its residents.

Dear Editor,

Village residents, with your vote, you have given me the privilege and pleasure of serving as a trustee on the Dexter Village Council for the past six years. Thank you.

The present council is a very diverse group whose members treat one another with a great deal of respect. We have worked well together. We are planners and goal-setters that keep responsible spending at the heart of our decisions.

I am proud of our village and praise its residents and council for our efforts to make it a viable, safe place to live, learn, work and play.

Recent accomplishments include the rebuilding of Main and Central streets,
improvements at the wastewater treatment plant, and the damn removal and development of Mill Creek Park.

The village needs to continually move forward with financial responsibility and an emphasis on public services that are centered on the needs of its residents.

That said, I am not sure why one would want to break-up its village leadership team at this point. Please consider the re-election of President Shawn Keough and village trustees Joe Semifero and Jim Smith when you cast your vote on Nov. 6.
