Letter to the Editor: Former Superintendent Endorses Chris Gordon for Dexter School Board

Gordon will serve this position with dedication dignity and with the best interest of students in the district.

Dear Editor:

It is my honor to endorse Chris Gordon for a position on the Dexter Community Schools Board of Education.

I have known Chris Gordon and his family since they were part of the U.S. Department of Defense Dependent's Schools (DoDDS) in Europe. I was grateful as the principal for the involvement of this family and their participation, input, and direction on the continuous improvement of educational and extra-curricular programs for students and members of the community.

For the outstanding dedication to the educational programs, it was my pleasure to participate in Chris receiving the Department of Defense Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. While overseas Chris remained in touch with stateside schools and educational trends and best practices. I know that upon his return to Michigan, Chris carried his sense of service into the Dexter School District both as a father of four and a member of the school board.

I endorse his election to the Dexter School Board as he will serve this position with dedication dignity and with the best interest of students in the district.

You will be lucky to have Chris Gordon as a board member.
