The headline says bicyclist the first paragraph says pedestrian. Which is it?

I was almost hit today in the exact same spot. I was using the crosswalk, with appropriate signals flashing, to cross Main St when a mini van turning left from Baker Rd accelerated and nearly missed me by 6 inches. I shrieked and had to jump out of the way! Why aren't people yielding to pedestrians and bicyclists on the crosswalks? And at this intersection in particular?

That's not good. Time for a story, I think.

I feel like there should really be a light at Dexter-Ann Arbor and Main street...It is quite difficult to see while turning left from Dex-Ann Arbor onto Main...Maybe this could eliminate a few of the close calls and more importantly those who are actually hit whether it be on foot or bike....But that is just my opinion : )
