Dexter Man Arrested After Failing to Appear in Court

The man faces charges for possession of marijuana.

A Dexter man was taken into custody by Chelsea police on April 13 after it was discovered that he had a warrant out for his arrest, according to a police report.

At approximately 8 p.m., the Chelsea Police Department was notified of a pending warrant arrest out of Livingston County. The Chelsea officer responded to the Shell gas station in Stockbidge to meet with the Livingston County Sheriff who had made the arrest.

The suspect, a 22 year old Dexter man, was taken into custody on the warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana.

The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Chelsea Police Department where he was processed and allowed to post $200 of his $500 bond and was released.
