Dexter Man Arraigned on Charges of Webster Township Burglary

Steven Paul Colwell, 25, was arrested by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office in connection with recent home invasions in the western part of the county.

A 25-year-old Dexter resident who was arrested for breaking into a home in Webster Township could be connected to eight other break-ins throughout the county, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office said.

Steven Paul Colwell was arraigned on charges of home invasion on Aug. 9 after he and two other male suspects were reportedly spotted leaving the Webster residence by the homeowner.

According to Ann Arbor.com, the homeowner told police she saw three men coming out of her house, hop in a car in the driveway and then drive across the lawn of her home, in the 7000 block of Quail Ridge. Colwell was located soon afterward by police.
