Golf Clubs, Winter Clothes Stolen from Unlocked Garage in Dexter

The following information was supplied by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary of a residence near the 7000 block of Third Street in the village of Dexter.

According to police reports, an unknown suspect or suspects entered the unlocked detached garage and removed a set of golf clubs and some miscellaneous outdoor clothing from the property between Nov. 15 and Dec. 23. The case is under investigation.

On Dec. 26, a resident in the 4000 block of Hidden Brook Drive in Webster Township reported two large dogs wandering the area. Upon arrival, deputies attempted to locate the animals, but were unsuccessful, according to police reports. No further action was taken.

Vehicle Accident

On Dec. 29, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the intersection of Dexter-Pinckney and Wylie roads in Dexter Township around 7:30 a.m. for a vehicle accident. According to police reports, a vehicle traveling northbound on Dexter-Pinckney Road lost control on snow covered roads and slid into a ditch. No injuries were reported. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, police said.
