Laptop Taken from Vehicle in Webster Township

The following information was supplied by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

On Feb. 15, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office responded to 5500 Deer Run Lane in Webster Township for a vehicle larceny complaint.

According to police reports, two vehicles were broken into overnight. Both cars were unlocked, and an unknown suspect or suspects rummaged through the cars, removing a laptop, calculator, and backpack, police said. The case is under investigation.

On Feb. 17, deputies were dispatched to 5600 Jackson Ave. in Scio Township for the report of a vehicle being broken into sometime between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. The suspect or suspects smashed out a passenger window to the car and then stole a purse that was sitting on the passenger seat, police said. There are no suspects at this time.
