Police Blotter: Deputies Investigate Larcenies in Scio Township

Here's a look at some calls to the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department from May 12 through Friday.

Larceny

At 9:15 a.m. Friday, deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to a stolen property complaint in the 200 block of Willow Tree Lane. The resident told investigators that his vehicle was parked outside overnight and that all property was secured, but on Friday morning, the victim discovered several items missing from the car, according to police. The case is under investigation. The missing property includes a white iPod, orange backpack and a phone charger, police said.

Burglary

On May 16, deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to a burglary complaint in the 5000 block of Jackson Road. The business owner told investigators he found the front door glass smashed, according to reports. The owner also noticed that two display cases were damaged. Investigators determined that a Hortilux 1,000-watt light bulb, Lumatek digital ballast and a Hanna gray soil meter were taken, according to reports. There are no suspects at this time.

Larceny

On May 12, deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to a stolen property complaint in the 400 block of Little Lake Drive. According to reports, the business owner noticed while he was patrolling the area that copper piping was missing from the property. There is no suspect information, and the case is under investigation.
