Police Blotter: Vehicle Stolen, Mailboxes Vandalized
Here is a look at recent police calls to the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department.
Malicious destruction of property
On Sunday, deputies responded to the Loch Alpine subdivision in Webster Township for a report of multiple damaged mailboxes and street signs. The deputies discovered graffiti spray-painted on several signs and multiple mailboxes that were damaged or destroyed. According to the report, some of the graffiti contained the numbers 420 and 11, which were spray-painted in red. There are no suspects at this time.
Warrant arrest
On Friday, deputies assigned to the village of Dexter responded to the 1000 block of North Zeeb Road for a follow-up investigation. The deputies contacted a subject and determined that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license. The male subject was arrested and was turned over to the Van Buren Township Police Department, according to reports.
Stolen vehicle
On Thursday, deputies assigned to Dexter responded to a stolen vehicle complaint in the 2000 block of Bishop Circle East, south of Mill Creek Intermediate School. The deputies determined that the suspect(s) took the vehicle by opening an unlocked door. The keys were with the vehicle, according to police. There is no suspect information at this time. The vehicle is a light green four-door 2006 Ford Focus.
