Police Check Up on Dexter Dog That Bit Child

The following information was supplied by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

On Friday, Animal Control was sent to the 300 block of McKinley in Dexter to follow up on an incident that occurred last month.

According to a police report, in March the homeowner's dog bit one of the children's 9-year-old friends as the child was running in the backyard. The child was bit in the calf and left arm area.

According to the police report, the dog has never been aggressive before. The dog is currently on shots and will continue to be monitored during future activity.
