Police Report: Deputies Seek Suspect in Indecent Exposure Complaint

The following arrest information was supplied by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Vehicle

On June 27, deputies assigned to Scio Township were dispatched to the 3000 block of Jackson Road in response to a complaint of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle's owners reported that they last saw the vehicle, a 1993 red four-door Ford Escort, parked on their property in the morning, according to police reports. The case is under investigation.

Intoxication Suspected in Vehicle Crash

On June 27, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to Island Lake and Wylie roads at approximately 3 a.m. to investigate a single-vehicle crash. Officers said in the police report that the driver, a 21-year-old Dexter area resident, had been drinking. Sgt. Beth Gieske said the parties involved in the crash were transported to a local hospital, where a blood test was performed and sent to the Michigan State Police lab for analysis. The case is under investigation.

Equipment Taken from Vehicle

On June 24, deputies assigned to Dexter were dispatched to Island Lake Road near Dexter-Pinckney Road in response to a vehicle theft complaint. According to police, lawn maintenance equipment, including an orange Stihl Magnum blower, was taken from the vehicle. The equipment was stored in the vehicle's trunk. The case is under investigation.

Indecent Exposure Reported

On June 22, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to Jennings and Maple Road in response to an indecent exposure complaint. According to police, a woman reported that a male driving a green GMC Sonoma extended-cab truck stopped a short distance away from her. The man exited the vehicle and exposed himself to her, according to the police report. Sgt. Beth Gieske said she believes the exposure is an isolated incident. Gieske said no further information is available. The case is under investigation.
