Police Report: Deputies Seek Suspects in Recent Larcenies

The following arrest information was supplied by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny

  • Deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to a complaint of stolen landscaping rocks in the 600 block of Forsythia Street. According to police reports, 75 large rocks were taken from the property. There was no further information available at the time of this posting. The case is under investigation.
  • On Wednesday, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department responded to a stolen riding lawnmower complaint in the 9000 block of Jackson Road in Lima Township. According to police, the owner was unable to determine when the equipment was stolen. The incident remains under investigation.
  • Deputies assigned to Scio Township were dispatched to the 3400 block of Liberty Road on July 25 in response to a complaint of stolen storage racks, which were taken from outside of a closed business, according to police. Deputies are still attempting to determine when the incident occurred. No further information is available.

Drunk Driving

Deputies patrolling Scio Township on July 25 arrested an allegedly drunken driver in the area of Huron River Drive and Wagner Road. The
driver was stopped by police for a traffic violation. According to police reports, the driver was administered a field sobriety test and was taken into police custody.
