Washtenaw County Sheriff Deputies Investigate Burglaries in Dexter, Scio Township

The following information was supplied by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Washtenaw County sheriff deputies are investigating a burglary of a commercial business in Dexter that occurred over the weekend.

According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, the burglary was reported on Monday in the 7200 block of West Huron River Drive. Deputies said the business was entered through a ground floor door and multiple items were removed from the facility.

A second burglary is under investigation in Scio Township. Deputies were dispatched to the Coffee House Creamery, 3780 Jackson Rd. on Feb. 27, after after employees discovered a front window had been smashed. Investigators believe the break-in occurred during the night, while the business was closed. Multiple items were stolen from inside of the business.

No arrests have been made and both cases are under investigation.
