Dexter Company Requests Village Expands Boundaries

Dexter Fastener Technologies has asked the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners to alter the boundaries of the Village of Dexter.

Dexter's largest industrial company, Dexter Fastener Technologies, has requested that the Village of Dexter expands its boundaries in order to accommodate an expansion to the company's factory, according to an article in AnnArbor.com.

The move will also make it so the company wil remain under the jurisdiction of one planning commission as well as one taxing authority, the article states.

The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners has set a public hearing to consider the company's proposal.

The hearing is scheduled for July 10 at 6:45 p.m. in the board room inside the Washtenaw County Administration Building at 220 N. Main St. in Ann Arbor.
