Dexter Officials Remind Village Residents to Keep Roadways Clear for Winter Maintenance

The village's DPW crews have been salting and plowing village streets since snow began falling on Friday morning.

The village of Dexter's Department of Public Works crew has been working since 7 a.m. Friday on salting and plowing village streets and downtown sidewalks.

Major streets have been plowed. Intersections and major streets have been salted. The crews will soon be finished plowing local streets. Downtown sidewalks have been plowed and salted. Sidewalks and boardwalks in and around village parks have been plowed.

Residents can assist the crews in completing their work by moving vehicles off the streets and out of public parking areas, when possible.

Please be reminded that although the village is committed to keeping downtown sidewalks, stairs and boardwalks cleared of ice and snow in a timely manner, they can still be slippery. Remember to exercise caution when using these amenities in the winter months.
