Dexter Township Makes Board, Commission Appointments

Local residents will serve as township representatives on various local and county boards.

The Dexter Township Board of Trustees appointed Don Darnell to the township Zoning Board of Appeals for a three-year term ending on Dec. 31, 2015.

Darnell was one of several appointments the board made at its meeting on Dec. 18.

Jamie Hodges was appointed to fill the remainder of a term on the ZBA ending Dec. 31, 2013; and Brook Smith was appointed to fill the remainder of a term ending on Dec. 31, 2014. James Cormier was appointed as an alternate through Dec. 31, 2014.

Peggy Clough, Dave Diesing, and Nina Doletzzke-Rachkham were appointed as members of the Board of Review, and Jim Drolett was named as an alternate. All were appointed for two-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2014.

Trustee Jason Maciejewski will continue to serve on the Western Washtenaw Recycle Authority Board, and Libby Brushaber was named as an alternate. The two-year term ends on Dec. 31, 2014.

Trustee Carl Lesser was appointed as township representative to the Chelsea Area Fire Authority.

Resident Jim Drolett was appointed as the law enforcement representative to the Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC). Township Clerk Harley Rider will remain on the committee as an ex-officio member.
