Register for Fall Story Times at Dexter District Library!

Fall Story Times for toddlers and preschoolers will begin at Dexter District Library on Monday, September 10 and run until Thursday, November 1.  Parents or caregivers of children may register in person at the library or by calling 426-4477.  Space is limited so registration will be on a first come first served basis.

Registration begins on Monday, August 27.  Parents are encouraged to register their child early as Story Time sessions fill up quickly.  Priority registration will be given to residents of the Library’s service district.  Non-residents will be placed on a waiting list and will be admitted based on space availability.

Children 18 months to 3 years of age may sign up for one Toddler Story Time.  Toddler Story Times are held on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.  Children 3 to 5 years of age may sign up for one Preschool Story Time.  Preschool Story Times are held on Mondays or Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. or Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m.  A combined Toddler/Preschool Story Time will be offered on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m.  Parents or caregivers are required to attend the toddler sessions and are welcome to attend the preschool sessions with their children.  Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Fall Story Times for children include picture, pop-up and interactive books, flannel-board stories, songs, puppets, fingerplays, crafts and other activities that encourage a love of reading to your child.  All sessions are held at the Dexter District Library which is located at 3255 Alpine Street in Dexter.  These events are free and open to the public.
