Husband and Wife Team Defeat Opponents in Dexter Twp. Primary Election

These are the unofficial final results of Tuesday's election with all precincts reporting. Updates are expected Thursday.

Editor's Note: Patch will update results from the Aug. 7, 2012 Primary Election as polling stations report numbers to the Washtenaw County Clerk's Office. Results could change as provisional ballots continue to come in. Numbers have been updated as of Aug. 7 at 11 p.m.

In Dexter Township, Republican  defeated Kathryn M. Bowring 401-187 in the township supervisor race and will face incumbent  in November. Republican , Drolett's wife, defeated Mark A. Wojno, 367-208, and is unopposed in her bid for township treasurer in November. Trustee candidates Steve Feinman, Michael Howard, John Emerick, Bill Gajewski, Carl Lesser, and Jason Maciejewski will all vie for four open slots on the Board of Trustees in November. 997 ballots were cast among the township's three precincts — roughly 20 percent of the 4,771 registered voters. 

In Lima Township, incumbent  secured 79 votes to Republican Craig Maier's 456. Unterbrink has served as Lima Township supervisor for three four-year terms, starting in 2000. He was unavailable for comment on Tuesday night. Republican candidate Robert Spink received 31 votes. Township Trustees Donald Laier and Gregory McKenzie will also move to the November election, along with Republican challenger Lawrence Risner for two open spots on the township board. Roughly 700 of the 2,685 registered voters cast ballots on Tuesday.

In Scio Township, incumbents  (supervisor), Nancy Hedberg (clerk), Donna Palmer (treasurer) are all running unopposed in November. Incumbent trustees David Read, Richard DeLong, Jack Knowles, and Christine Green are also unopposed.

Webster Township Supervisor John Kingsley Jr. is running unopposed in November. Clerk Mary Dee Heller and Treasurer Carol Whitney are also running unopposed. Trustees Charles L. Estleman, Robert J. Mitzel, Gary J. Koch, Richard Kleinschmidt, Bradley Gibson, and John H. Westman will campaign for four open seats on the board in November.
