Rep. Mark Ouimet Sponsors Virtual Town Hall Meeting with Gov. Snyder Aug. 21

Dexter area residents can talk with Gov. Rick Snyder via online broadcast at the Washtenaw Intermediate School District on Tuesday.

is hosting a town hall event on Aug. 21 in Scio Township with Gov. Rick Snyder as a special guest via Internet broadcast.

The event takes place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, 1819 S. Wagner Road in Ann Arbor. Participants should arrive no later than 6:15 p.m.

"The governor is using the power of technology to talk with people across the State of Michigan, and we're happy to have him address local residents in Scio Township," Ouimet said. "Although the governor will be in Lansing, he'll take questions from our audience. I encourage people to attend the meeting and take part in the process."

The governor is participating in several town halls simultaneously across the state on Aug. 21. Snyder will join the Scio Township audience live via Google+ Hangout.
