"Whatever money we raise between the 'Booster Blast,' concession stand sales and our annual trivia night is divided among the teams for special purchases," Collene Finn, event chairwoman said.

Last year, the club was able to help the DHS hockey team purchase a video camera and pucks for their season practices.

"The athletes really appreciate any support we can give them," Finn said.

Greg Wagner, athletics and facilities coordinator for , said the ABCD provides an invaluable asset to the district.

"We couldn't do some of the things we are able to do without the support of the ABCD," he said. "They are a huge group in our community who provide all of our kids with the tools they need to succeed."

The "Booster Blast" is always a well-attended event, bringing in upward of $14,000 last year and 120 guests. Finn said she expects attendance to be similiar this year.

"We already have 100 tickets sold, and we'll have tickets available at the door, too," she said.
