Chelsea, Dexter Compete in Marching Band Exhibition
Area schools will showcase their band programs for parents and judges at Chelsea High School on Wednesday.
Chelsea High School will host the fourth annual Marching Band Exhibition at 5 p.m. Sept. 19 at the CHS stadium, 740 N. Freer Road.
Chelsea’s seventh and eighth grade middle school bands will introduce the event by playing the National Anthem at 5:20 p.m.
High school bands performing at the event include Dexter, Saline, Manchester, Stockbridge, and Chelsea. The Western Michigan University Marching Band will also perform.
Bands will be evaluated and receive comments in five areas: music, marching, general effect, color guard, and drum majors.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
