Dexter Community Schools wants to introduce Mrs. Tammy Reich as the new principal of Creekside Intermediate School. The Dexter Community School’s Board of Education formally approved Mrs. Reich’s hiring on Monday, July 29, 2013, at their regularly scheduled meeting.

Mrs. Reich is returning to the administrative team in Dexter after working three years as the principal of Symons Elementary in Milan, Michigan. Prior to her time at Symons Mrs. Reich was a classroom teacher in Dexter and an Assistant Principal at Mill Creek Middle School. Mrs. Reich went through three rounds of interviews and impressed the committee with her knowledge of the curriculum, current trends, student engagement and involving staff, students, and families in the education process. Mrs. Reich is already beginning to transition to her new role as Creekside’s principal. Craig McCalla, Interim Superintendent, says, “We are excited to have Mrs. Reich back in Dexter and as part of our school community. I am sure Mrs. Reich will provide the leadership necessary for the Creekside students, families, and staff.” Mrs. Reich says she is happy to be back in Dexter and is looking forward to the school year.
