Dexter High School Hosts Senior Awards Night
Dexter High School seniors receive local scholarships and awards prior to graduating on June 3.
Dexter pride spilled out over the packed Performing Arts Center on June 3 as family and friends gathered to salute the accomplishments of graduates of the Class of 2012 during annual Senior Awards Night.
Awards included the Ann Arbor.com Top Scholars, American Legion Post 577 Scholarship, Ben Rodgers Memorial Scholarship, Brianna Loo Memorial Scholarship, Carl Willoughby Memorial Scholarship, Detroit Free Press Scholar Athlete, Dexter Educational Association Scholarship, Dexter High School Alumni Association Scholarship, Dexter Kiwanis Club Scholarship, Dexter Lions Club Scholarship, Dexter Rotary Club Scholarship, and the Dreadnaught Athlete of the Year.
Community awards included the Goderis Family Memorial Scholarship, Henry Thurston Memorial Scholarship, James Brady Rotary Scholarship, Marie Kirkland Memorial Scholarship, St. Andrew's United Church of Christ Scholarship, SWWC Student Building Trades Scholarship, Touchstone of Excellence Award, and the WXYZ Channel 7 Brightest & Best Award.
