Dexter High School Investigating Student's Threats on Twitter

Dexter principal says threatening messages will be investigated by law enforcement officials.

Dexter High School officials are investigating threatening messages on a student's Twitter account that were posted on Tuesday.

"This morning we became aware of a tweet from a student's Twitter account that was sent out last night. The tweet contained inappropriate comments regarding the school and could be considered threatening," principal Kit Moran said in an email to parents. "We are currently working with the local authorities as we continue our investigation. Your child's safety is our greatest priority. At no time have we felt that Dexter High School students were in danger of any harm."

Moran said due to student privacy issues, he can not reveal the student's identification or details of the incident.
