Dexter Principals Plan Q&A Session with Kindergarten Parents

The kindergarten information night will take place on Jan. 31 at Cornerstone Elementary School.

 

A kindergarten information night for parents with children in and will be held on Jan. 31. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the district's all-day kindergarten program transition.

On Dec. 19, 2011, the Dexter Community Schools Board of Education approved the start of all-day kindergarten beginning in the 2012-2013 school year.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Elementary School. During this meeting Principals Craig McCalla and Tim Authier will talk about the curriculum, specials, pacing of the day, transportation, the selection process for schools and the selection process for the morning and afternoon Young 5's program.

Prior to the meeting, both Bates and Cornerstone will be open between 5:30-6:30 p.m. for parents to tour. This meeting is for adults only. For more information call 734-424-4120 or 734-424-4130.
