Dexter Student Publishes Art in National Magazine
Charlotte Burderly, a student at Bates Elementary School, was selected to publish an illustration in the literary magazine "Spider."
Charlotte Burderly, 7, a student at Bates Elementary School in Dexter, was recently selected to publish an illustration in the children's literary magazine, Spider.
According to the Dexter Leader, Charlotte, the daughter of Elise and Michael Bruderly of Dexter, submitted her original artwork titled "Dancers" in September, when the magazine requested readers submit art about something that inspires them.
Charlotte's picture appears on the Spider’s Corner page of the January 2013 issue and on the magazine's website.
