Educational Foundation of Dexter Hosts Annual Fundraiser Auction Feb. 23.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit teacher grants at Dexter Community Schools.

The Educational Foundation of Dexter (EFD) will host its annual gala auction on Feb. 23 at the Ann Arbor Country Club.

The evening will feature a strolling supper, cocktails and desserts provided by Max & Bella’s on the Green located inside the Ann Arbor Country Club, as well as live music and a silent and live auction.

"This event is always a lot of fun and a great success,” said Jennifer Wagner, co-chairwoman of the auction. ”We are overwhelmed with the generosity of our local businesses and families as they continue to join us to provide essential financial support for innovative programs that provide fantastic educational opportunities for our students.”

The EFD will once again hold an exciting jewlery raffle at the auction. Attendees can enter the raffle by purchasing one of 50 glasses of a specialty cocktail available at the event. Each glass will hold one pair of faux diamond earrings, and one lucky purchaser will win diamond jewelry courtesy of Lewis Jewelers of Ann Arbor.

All funds raised will support grants for Dexter teachers to help fund school programs. In 2012, the Educational Foundation of Dexter funded over $37,000 for a broad range of student programs and teacher training across the school district.

Tickets for the auction are $80 each and may be purchased online using PayPal at www.efdexter.org. Visit the foundation's website for more information.
