Five Dexter High School Students Receive Top Honors for Academics by Southeastern Conference

DHS Principal William Moran nominated the students based on academic and standardized test scores.

The Southeastern Conference officially honored the top five students from each of its 10 league schools as members of the 2012 SEC All-Academic Team on April 18.

The students from each school are selected using the Academic All-State formula that equally weighs GPA in core academic courses and College Board test scores on either the ACT or SAT test. The SEC has been recognizing an all-academic team for more than 20 years.

Dexter's top five students included: Trevor Herman Hilker, Taylor Neely, Holly Clegg, Anthony Kurcz, and Melissa Lemke.
