The Dexter High School girls' varsity basketball team is all smiles following a 38-16 victory against the Saline Hornets on Jan. 4.
The Dreadnaughts took an early lead coming out of the gate to lead in double digits by the end of the first quarter. The team's offense — a combination of speed and skill — led Dexter to outscore Saline 12-3 in the second quarter.
With the win, Dexter advanced its record to 8-1 on the year, and followed up its only loss on the year, 39-37 to Northville on Dec. 29.
Teia McGahey led the team with 12 points, followed by Emma Kill, who scored eight points and 11 rebounds.
