Dexter Icers Fall to Anchor Bay

Dreadnaughts lose early lead in Showcase loss.

CHELSEA — Three late goals erased an early lead as the hockey team was defeated, 4-2, by Anchor Bay in its first game at the Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase Friday afternoon.

The Dreadnaughts held a 2-1 lead going into the final period, however they were unable to hold on for the victory.

Jake Waldrup and Jimmy Lewandowski each scored for Dexter.

Dexter outshot its opposition 32-20. The contest featured 19 penalties. 

The Dreadnaughts (5-13-1, 0-5-1) will look to rebound when they take on Southeastern Conference foe Ann Arbor Pioneer (10-9, 5-5) Saturday night at 6:15 p.m.
