Santa’s Favorite Dinner Beverage

While the elves at the North Pole may never reach the age of maturity, Santa and his bride certainly have. They have kept one of their favorite beverages under gift wraps for several hundred years. But, now the beverage has surfaced around the country at various restaurants.

Many know the spring and summer excitement of an ice cream float — ice cream of various flavors plopped in a variety of soda, the ice cream blending so effortlessly with the soda, adding a creaminess to the soda enhanced by eating the ice cream as well. The root beer float has been a mainstay of many since childhood.

Now revealed, Santa’s favorite winter beverage is a beer float being a dinner beverage to traditional pub burgers or as dessert. Now is the season to try this dinner drink/dessert combo using one of the world famous beers brewed right here in downtown Dexter.

My recommendation is to add one or more dollops of your favorite ice cream to Christmas ale, Noel de Calabaza. It’s certainly worth a try.
