Keeping current on Dexter's bike paths and art

HI, I am a new bike rider in Dexter and am thrilled with what has been done so far. However, I notice that there are bits an pieces of real information, rumor and plain old questions about the plans and progress of projects in and around our beautiful village.  So, what I propose is that anyone with real information, please post it here so we can all keep up on what's going on. If we have questions, we can post them here and hopefully someone in the know will pop in and answer them.

Let's get started!

-what is the status of the R.R. access problem at the end of the gorgeous paved trail that comes west from Dexter/Huron Metropark??? I sure hope this has a positive outcome soon!!!

-I've heard rumors that there might be a "sculpture park" along the above-mentioned bike/walk route---anyone know more?

-I've heard the pilings being pounded on the Dexter/Hudson Mills section--anyone know of a more recent "finished date"?

-where exactly will the parking lot be for the "nature area" along Baker Rd. near Marshall? Does anyone know???

-what is the status of the paved/packed path that is supposed to extend from behind Creekside, along Mill Creek and connect with the River Walk just finished in Dexter?????

-Dexter Wellness Center: for those who have been put-off by the idea that it's going to be "family oriented", this means ONLY that there will be two, one hour family swims a month and two, one hour free-gym times a month, along with lowering membership to age 12 from 14. I think many envisioned toddlers running wild. This is NOT the case!!!

----there will be a bike rack so we can be really fit and ride there!!!
