Dexter Community Education Plans Summer Camp for Tornado Families

The free camp is being funded through donations by the Dexter Tornado Relief Fund.

The Dexter Community Education Office will host a summer camp for students in kindergarten through sixth grade on Aug. 6-10 and Aug. 13-17 at .

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes crafts, water fun, outdoor games, hands on activities and special guests. Camp will be staffed by certified teachers. Students will be provided a box lunch Monday through Thursday and pizza on Friday. All campers will receive a T-shirt.

Students directly affected by the can register starting July 16 at 9 a.m. and all other students can begin registration on July 23. Space is limited and a minimum of 60 students per week is required for the camp to run.

Families can register online at onlinedexter.com with code 91-1 for Aug. 6-10 and 91-2 for Aug. 13-17.
