Dexter Daze 40th Anniversary T-shirts for Sale at Area Businesses

The festival shirt was designed by Fancy Stitch owner and lifelong Dexter resident Tracy Lambert.

In preparation for the 2012 Dexter Daze Festival, T-shirts marking the event's 40th anniversary have gone on sale at local businesses throughout the Village of Dexter.

The shirt features the festival's name prominently displayed on the front, and the slogan "Celebrate 40" on the back. The shirts cost $10 and are available in a variety of colors.

"I was glad the festival committee went with something simple as opposed to previous designs," Tracy Lambert, owner of said. "There’s a lot of people who have been in Dexter for a long time and have enjoyed Dexter Daze for as long as its been going on."

Lambert was chosen as this year's T-shirt artist in recognition for her efforts to raise money for families affected by the . Days after the storm hit, Lambert printed T-shirts that read "I survived the Dexter tornado" and sold them, donating all of the proceeds to the Dexter Relief Fund.

"The festival committee decided to go with someone local, instead of hosting a design contest," publicity chairwoman Laurie Kokmeyer said.
