Dexter Soccer Games for a Good Cause Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Dexter.

1. Need to know

  • Cancer Awareness Soccer Games at Dexter High School

The DHS Women's Soccer Team is hosting "Cancer Awareness Games."  The girls will be selling their specialty T-shirts, and novelity ice cream during both the JV and Varsity games.  All donations will be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for furthering research on Cancer.

2. Local voice of the week


As you may remember from previous years, Dexter will once again be having a village wide "Show of HOPE" Day, to display unity within our community in hopes that one day cancer will be eradicated. Most, if not all of us, have had cancer impact someone in our lives; and it is in honor and memory of each of them that we will be wearing PURPLE on Monday, May 20th to demonstrate that united hope. 3. In case you missed it

  • Dexter Schools Narrow Down Superintendent Selection to 1

Last Monday night the Board of Education unanimously voted to continue the Superintendent selection process with Dr. Chris Timmis, Superintendent at Adrian Public Schools.

4. Names in the news

Dexter High School's student publication, The Squall, won its 11th Spartan Award in 14 years from the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association at MIPA's spring conference April 15, according to the Dexter Leader.

5. Volunteers needed
