7 Things to Know for Labor Day Weekend in Dexter

Staying around Dexter this weekend? Here are some things to keep in mind as you make your plans.

1. Weather forecast

The National Weather Service forecasts highs in the mid-80s and lows in the 60s, along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, throughout the holiday weekend. A high of 72 degrees, under partly sunny skies, is expected Labor Day.

2. City offices closed Monday

City offices in Dexter will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day. Trash pickup will be delayed one day.

3. Summer music series

The Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce Summer Music Series at Monument Park continues Friday, Aug. 30.

4. Miles & Ellie

Check out a performances of Miles & Ellie on Thursday, Friday or Saturday at the Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea.
