Dexter Relay for Life Fundraisers and More this Weekend

Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are three events you should know about in the Dexter area.

1. St. Andrew's United Church of Christ Relay for Life Fundraisers

• When: Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 
• Where: Church's Fourth Street side.  
• What: Car wash by volunteers from the church who will give your car tender, loving care and send you on your way with a clean vehicle, in return for a contribution to the cause.

• When: Sunday, May 19, at 11 a.m.
• Where: Social Hall at St. Andrew's United Church 
• What: A Pie Auction will take place with Johnny Weber, an experienced auctioneer and church member, will offer home made pies and some other dessert goodies, each to the highest bidder.

2. Inaugural Michigan Sky Music Festival

• When: May 17 and 18
• Where: 2045 Zeeb Rd.
• What: Michigan Sky Music Festival is a grassroots festival created with the purpose of bringing local musicians, artists, and small businesses together to network, get their names out there, and have fun doing it. Festival tickets are $12 for a one-day pass or $20 for a two-day pass. Admission includes camping. Tickets will be available at the door.

3. Dexter Garden Club’s 2013 Plant Sale

• When: Saturday, May 18
• Where: Monument Park
• What: The club will be offering a broad range of plant material – our biggest selection of plants ever.  Club members will be present to provide informative input into the selection of plants for any garden situation.  Proceeds from the sale are the primary fundraiser supporting the club’s annual budget.
